I think real NHL season needs its own topic, too. Have to start with Teemu Selänne. 40 years, 80 points and last night his first fight since rookie season. Ducks clinched the home advantage for first round of playoffs. Teemu is simply the best... I think he can still play five more years... seriously. He's that good... age is just a number for him. Damn I missed that ANA-LA game... looked like an entertaining one. |

Just saw Detroit beat Chicago, awesome 3rd period. Datsyuk was incredible. Looking forward to Minnesota v Dallas game later tonight, biggest game of the season, hope Dallas doesn't crack under the pressure like Carolina. They're in the playoffs with a win (excluding shootouts). I don't like either team more than the other but I'm cheering for Dallas just because I wanna see the upset scenario happen (them going ahead of Chicago, them beating Minnesota isn't an upset). But then again, another Vancouver v Chicago series in the quarter finals would be hilarious. |

So what's the scoop between Chicago and Dallas now? If Dallas takes 2 points they'll go to the playoffs and Chicago is OUT? |

Cool... but what's the first team stat that determines it when both teams end up with same points? The goal difference is in favor of Chicago. Less OT/shootout wins for Dallas? PS: Dallas will be the last team in the Pacific Division standings... wonder when was the last time the worst division team has made it to the playoffs. |

there is an entirely new stat which counts the wins in regulation and OT. And if Dallas wins in reg. or OT then the Hawks fall out because the Stars have the tiebreaker advantage. But goddamnit! They must not miss the playoffs. God, let Dallas lose. PLEASE! Then hockey season will end for me! I'm not ready, I'm too young! |

Well, that was a let down but at least it was close and went down to the end unlike the Hurricanes and Lightning game. Hawks fans seem to be relying on recent history and assuming they'll beat Vancouver, I expect the Canucks to win though and in 5 or 6 but hope it goes longer and it's an entertaining series. So the two Canadian matchups are gonna be pretty good, Montreal has been pretty good in the regular season against Boston this year. I'm really looking forward to the Pittsburgh v TB game though to see how TB does in the playoffs and the Phx/Det series which was excellent last year. |

Selanne is amazing and he's such a nice person. I met him personally in my trip to SoCal last year. I'm excited with these playoffs, looks like we are going to have some huge battles. Anybody can think of a Montreal - Boston series? That's amazing! Regards, Franco MDH |
