Philly-(Bruins/Habs)
Washington-(PIT/TB)

Interesting.

These pairing aren't set in stone. If Montreal and Pittsburgh win it would be WAS-MTL and PHI-PIT. As long as Montreal wins they will play Washington otherwise it would be PHI-BOS no matter who wins the other series.

Ok...who's watching the Game 7 BOS-MTL?

They're going OT right now....

Boston can only blame themselves if they lose... besides their terrible PP they're clearly the better team... but you can't afford to make that kind of mistakes.... Habs' second goal was Seidenberg's terrible giveaway and then Bergeron took really stupid high sticking penalty when there was 2 minutes left.... 3-3.

They really want to give it away for Montreal.... really reckless playing...!!

Montreal isn't impressing me... Bruins have dominated the play in the last 2 games I've watched... Habs are passive and mainly just hit from the counterattacks.... Both Price and Thomas have been incredible though....

SHIT!!! It's always a lucky bounce that wins it. Ah well Boston deserved to win. They had the Canadiens' number since game 3.

Too bad it had to be a mistake by Halpern after the shit he took all night.

Bruins' PP is absolutely hopeless... did I hear correctly that they scored ZERO PP goals from their last 20 attempts?

If that's true, it doesn't look good for them (against Philly).

PS: Roloson was incredible against the Pens... not bad for a 41-year old guy, eh?

No PP goals in the entire series YIKES! Then again there are the usual questions about goaltending in Philadelphia. Boston is definitely the stronger of the two in that regard.

Too bad it had to be a mistake by Halpern after the shit he took all night.

This is the problem and there's a reason for it. I remember that he was kicked out of the faceoff by the linesman, then the other centre who took the faceoff lost it, Boston was able to control the play, Halpern wasn't able to stay in his original position because he lost the faceoff, and the game winning goal went off of his leg (he wasn't in the right position like I said).

So this is another case to me of that stupid faceoff rule where linesman kick out the centre and it's happening waaaaaay too often. It seems so stupid and for the smallest of infractions but linesmen love to kick guys out, maybe it makes them feel better or they're power hungry. But it's no the first time that it's led to a game winner.

Since Philadelphia are getting healthier, I have to feel that they'll win barring goaltending issues. Boston's coach is the reason for them not playing to potential, he sits on leads and makes poor decisions on who to play and for how much. Also, they badly need some speed, the 3rd line doesn't have chemistry although Kelly got a goal tonight. I'd say drop one of the 3rd liners to the fourth and put Seguin in to give them some speed and maybe Kampfer on defence.

0-21

I watched half the game yesterday until I fell asleep on the couch.

Don't really feel that bad about the loss, hopefully next year it will be better, and we will be off some dead-weight (Gomez....).

Nice one by Tampa, I think they deserve it, they clearly have the better team. And Roloson is an awesome character.

Anyway, gonna cheer for Nashville now, GO PREDS GO!

SEMIFINAAAAAAALSSSSS :D :D :D

heck of a series Fred..

good luck to your Bolts next round!!

2 years in a row walking out of the Pens building to a game 7 defeat. bah..

one good thing, the Pens wont get swept by the Caps lol.. saved myself some money for these 2nd round games. all that will just go towards our season tickets next year!!

honestly, if they go 3 rounds, thats basically the cost of an entire 41 game season ticket wise.. so without Sid and Gino, not to disappointed that they didnt advance. lol.

I hope will be a challenge with Caps, if we lose its not important, Tampa is a refounding team, not a consolidated one so no hurry! but the guys and plays are there, so why not dream :D

btw pittsburgh with crosby and malkin would have win this series for sure imho..

with Sid and Gino they would have contended for the best record in the league.. they would have set the record at the very least of being the best Pens team point wise in their history.

but those are the breaks.. give it heck again next year!!

After the 1st period... NSH-VAN... it should be Rinne vs. VAN... doesn't look good for the Preds... Rinne is incredible though.

Oh man, this is collapsing hockey right here by Nashville. So Vancouver only scored a goal but they had a bunch of chances. The problem was that they kept shooting at the chest protector of Rinne (he is 6'5 but still). The slapshots from the point weren't high either and I thought they were trying to be a bit too fancy at times. They need to get two bodies to crash the net because Nashville and especially Suter/Weber can handle one player in the slot.

Also, who do you guys take as the Hart Trophy winner? I really have no idea. I think Daniel Sedin is the most skilled player out of the three but the Hart Trophy is more about which guy is most valuable. St. Louis helps the TB attack click but for me, Corey Perry is a big part of the reason why Anaheim got to the playoffs and once he started scoring at an unbelievable rate, they started clicking so I'd go with Perry for this year.

And Washington sucked bad in Game 1!! after allowing a CHEESY goal, Roloson put out the wall en route for a 4-2 win!

Game 2 tomorrow, without Gagne probably but won't be a big problem since Downie is hot as hell, and Stamkos looks like the one of the start of the year!
