Sorry trent, but I'm happy about TB (as I like them) and VAN (Ehrhoff is there:-)) victories.

Lol, a bit weird playoffs. One team has already been sweeped, and two others can be... Hope the semi's will be more exciting. :bleh:

The sweep by Tampa tonite was kinda feeled, after the 2-0 in WSH i've seen a team that outplay the other very bad in the third period.. while staying close on the other two.

Lightning could aim to Finals for sure, there is to see how they'll match up with probably the Bruins that are a big physical team..

That Philadelphia game was a bit sad to watch. The forwards were pretty much missing in action. When Nikolai Zherdev looks like your best forward then you have a problem.

I really don't think Boston is a well coached team or that good to be honest and they aren't gonna choke this year so it's TB's conference final to lose imo. Gonna go with the Sharks and Canucks as the favourites though. Canucks are the better team, but Sharks have been playing better overall so far. All the games between Wings and Sharks have been close though, they're unlucky to be down 3-0.

I also don't understand why you'd go back to Boucher who's known to be a backup goalie in different games. The first time they went to him okay but after that....should've stuck to Bobrovsky. Imagine if they'd traded earlier in the season for a guy like Craig Anderson who was on the trade block with a draft pick or Bobrovsky himself.

Well... with it's kinda hard to argue this statement when you know their PP record.

The problem was kinda seen in the regular season. I don't think it's a badly coached team either. The players are experienced so it's probably not as much of a problem. It's just that Claude Julien is one of those old coaches who's decision making is questionable in today's NHL especially when it comes to younger players, who he gives ice-time to, who he plays in certain situations, etc. He's also one of those coaches that gives players ice-time based more on reputation than actual merit. And the most frustrating thing is the Bruins lack of offense in the past couple seasons despite having some pretty good scoring on their teams. He's a coach that sits back on leads and often ends up losing it (last year was the biggest example in game 7 against Philadelphia but this season he did it in several games). I can't say anything bad about last night, they played an excellent game but it had more to do with the Flyers forwards not completely showing up.

Ryan Kesler made Weber/O'Brien look like pylons with his game winner. I'm getting really frustrated at the Sedins though. They're dangerous players but they just get knocked over so easily. Maybe they're tired but it's hard for them to create those long shifts of sustained pressure if they just cough over the puck after a lazy pass or a couple shoves to the back. They also get hemmed in their zone a lot during the third period.

Also, it was pretty sad to watch the Nashville offense as they tried to make a comeback, they couldn't get anything going. You know you have problems when you're relying on second line centremen like Fisher, Colin Wilson who's basically a rookie, and 40 point players or inconsistent ones like Kostitsyn to be on the ice when you have your goalie pulled and are trying to tie the game.

I'm a neutral for all the series but hoping that at least one of the two 3-0 series goes to 7 games so we get some more hockey.

No surprise to me; I've always been firmly on the anti-Sedin side since they were drafted. After being shocked by two regular seasons that exceeded expectations, my beliefs are holding true again. Sedins = overrated :D

Jordan Eberle is worth more than Voracek, will be part of the next dynasty and first canadian team since montreal to win the cup.

Wow really disappointing performance by Philadelphia and they can't blame the goalie on this one (two of the goals were empty netters). Matt Carle has been so bad, I guess he needs Pronger there or he isn't an NHL dman, Carter was useless and injured, Timonen is over the hill now...it's probably just a case of them being out of gas tbh but they never got up from that late season slump.

Man I'd be pissed if I was a Flyers fan, especially if their GM doesn't go and get a real goalie, they also don't have cap room or good draft picks.

Did anyone see that game 6 (SJ v Det)? I thought Detroit dominated, even when the Sharks were trying to make a come back late. The Wings are one of the toughest teams to beat when they play their aggressive forecheck game but game 7 is in SJ...

So Sharks won, good for them, even though series got tied.

Semis looks good.

Van vs. Sharks - I dunno, teams resembles each other kinda well, both strong goalies, Luongo was a bit shacky, but Niemi seems really good atm. Maybe Van has a overall better defense.

Boston vs. Tampa - Two different teams and systems? I think it comes down to how well Tampas stars can play, and how good Boston can shoot them down and play as a team. And maybe score some power play goals? lol

Game 2 of that Tampa-Boston series was really entertaining. Could've gone either way, Boston played much better but they gave up a bunch of breakaways that Thomas stopped. Almost the whole game was end-to-end hockey. The Canucks/Sharks one is a bit more tight checking but pretty fun to watch as well. Shark Tank is supposed to be one of the toughest arenas to play in during the playoffs so let's see how they do.
