Holy <expletive> - Philadelphia just traded Richards AND Carter.

I'd hate to be any prospect of Philly. They simply don't care about their star players.

Holy <expletive>, you're totally clueless. Players across the NHL rave about the organization and how caring they are. Snider helped Bill barber buy a house in the Philly area when he played for the team in the 70's. This is just one of many examples of how the organization treats their players during and after their playing days are over.

Carter's lack of playoff production helped punch his ticket out of town, and Richards had all but shut himself off from the media (not a good thing from your captain) and allegedly had some serious rifts in the locker room and also with Laviolette.

As a Flyers fan, I am very happy with the moves. I like Mike Richards, but it was time to go with all of the off-ice crap --- and the return on these trades was excellent. These deals were easier to swallow after both Carter and Richards lost their edge after signing long term deals.

^ yup, Couteriur (#1 draft prospect a year ago), Schenn (#1 proscpect not in NHL), Wayne Simmonds, Jakub Voracek (#5 a few years ago), and Nick Cousins in the third.

Unbelievable return if you ask me

Jordan Eberle is worth more than Voracek, will be part of the next dynasty and first canadian team since montreal to win the cup.
