Happy Canada Day to any Canadians.

It should be a pretty boring FA day, to be honest, but I am interested to see who goes where. Particularly Jaromir Jagr. Of course, he's 39 years old now and no where near the player he once was, but he still has the same flashes of excellence, and I would personally be delighted if the Devils somehow acquired him. Don't care if it was a one year, 3.5M contract. I would welcome him on this team. He's one of my favourite non-Devil players, even though he was once the captain of the Rangers. As stupid as the idea sounds (he spent time on both our rival Penguins and Rangers), he is rather fond of Patrik Elias.

Who do you see going where?

I see Richards signing with the Rangers. As for everything else, complete poop shoot. Seems some teams will have to overpay to reach the cap floor. So teams like Florida may surprise us.

Also, Buffalo's contract signing of Christian Ehrhoff seems like circumvention to me. 18M in the first two years, then 3M in the final three years? Sigh.

This is going to lead to another lockout. All these frontloaded contracts.

Kindda wondering why Tampa signed Roloson, when a guy like Vokoun is free...or will be.

He is so under-rated, while being imo one of the most consistent good goalies for the past 10 years.

Maybe Washington will get him?

yes, they spend far to much money....... than Erhoff is a good player, but this is too much for him.

The salary cap in 2006 was set at 39 millions, next season it will be at 64,3...

EDIT: I hope we don't have to read this about the NHL in next years....

Jaromir Jagr to Philadelphia.. who could have expected that? And some Pens fans say now that "Jagr isn't a star player anymore". Well kind of a surprise.

Knew Jagr would be getting 3 mill, just pissed that the Devils didn't even try to sign him. He woulda came here I think, if he went to Philly.

Wonder where Kaberle goes.

Oh lord if Flyers still sign Vokoun, imagine Bryzgalov-Vokoun as goalies, then there is Jagr and many good players.

I'd laugh if they basically got rid of Richards and Carter for Bryzgalov, Vokoun and a bunch of prospects.

Varlamov to Colorado! He was traded for a 2012 draft pick if I understood well.

Now: Where goes Vokoun?

Vokoun to Florida? Hmmm.

After Florida signed Jose Theodore it seems, maybe a bit unlikely... I dunno tbh.

Florida signed Theodore? FUUUU.... i liked him in Minnesota. Now, Vokoun to Minnesota? No, we got already Backstrom and then Harding if he's going to be back.

EDIT: My guess, i think Vokoun -> Capitals.
