What program you use for schedules? You might want to share the download link for that so pitchleague might examine the files himself. |

Thanks trent for reminder! I'm using NHL07-06DBEdit to modify the schedules. Here is the new link: NHL07-06 DBEdit By the way. The link in: http://nhl04rebuilt.com/index.php?showtopic=11 doesn't work anymore. You should open the software before, it doesn't work if you just press the schedule and choose a program. At least in my computer. But I'm also using NHLView to show dynasty stuff |

Fixed the link. You can also fix those broken links when you find them.

okay, I opened up this DBedit program but I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with it. I opened up the dynasty save file in the program and I saw "LSCH" among the list. I am guessing that has something to do with the schedule but I don't know what. Is there a tutorial/guide/something to help with it? |

Here are the instructions related to schedules: http://nhl04rebuilt.com/index.php?showtopic=2083 Yes, the LSCH is the schedule. There you can see all the games and remember that month and day numbers are -1. So for example April is 3 in the schedule. I would say that your regular season ends 11th of April, right? GameId = 1227. After that you can see 2 fixed games, which were missing when someone made the schedule and he added them to October. That is the thing what I was talking before. Now there is games at October and gameIds are 1228 and 1229. Not in order anymore. But please check did your regular season end in that day, April 11th. Because if it didn't then there is a problem in this schedule. |

Just an update . . . So I downloaded the database editor as suggested by Sence and, after using NHLView to figure out which teams were which, I went in and deleted ALL the extra playoff games for all 8 first round series. Voila! It worked! I was able to sim and I just got done playing game one of the first round series and the game did not crash! So YAY! Funny how the computer created the playoff schedule with every series having 14 games instead of seven. With the exception of one, though. New York Rangers vs. Carolina was set correctly by the computer at only 7 games. Very peculiar. Also peculiar was that 14 games were in the "schedule" using the DB editor and looking at the schedule in NHLView, but IN GAME, the calendar only has the 7 games as it should. Weird! Oh, well. It appears that deleting the extra playoff games from the schedule has worked. I'll check in to let anybody know if I have to do this all over again after the first round is over. Thank you to those of you that steered me in the direction to get this fixed. Even though you never got a chance to look at my files I sent, all is good. Bottom line is that I got it fixed. So many thanks for the ideas of what to look for! |

Awesome! I'm glad that it worked! And I'm sorry about that I didn't have time to check files. I have them, but no time. <_< I really hope that it will work in the future too. Good job!

Probably the last time that I post about this particular topic (I hope!) but just wanted to update people that round 2 of the playoffs appears to have been scheduled by the computer correctly and did not crash when I began that round. So, this does appear to be a solution. |
