Did you install the base game first? And are you using the Launcher.exe to load the game? |

Looking for assistance... I was playing NHL 2004 in Dynasty mode and I got an error when I got to the play offs. It says Simulating and then it gives me an error and says that NHL2004.exe stopped working. I run Windows 10. Just wondering if anyone can help me so I can continue playing this game. Thanks |

The dynasty mode playoff crash happens because the schedule has duplicates! You have to delete duplicate games from there. Remember to make a backup copy of your dynasty season BEFORE you delete anything. You can find the solution from: here!

Thank you very much for your assistance! It took plenty of work but finally figured it out. Things seem to be up and running well now. I can now move on to my next season.

Hello everyone, this is my first post so don't rake me over the coals. I've read extensively throughout the forum and have tried seemingly everything but can't get the game to load. I just get the NHL2004 has stopped working error. I actually got the game to load once, but I didn't have my controller plugged and it didn't show up in the choose sides screen when I plugged it in, so I exited the game and tried to relaunch without changing any settings and now can't get it to launch again. Really looking forward to trying this out. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I'm on Windows 10 64bit. |

Did you use the launcher to launch the game? ![]() You should, and also with xp compatibility mode and as an admin.

Yes, I use the launcher. I have XP SP3 compatibility mode turned on and admin in both the launcher and the nhl2004.exe. I get a small window at the top left of the screen for about 5 seconds then I get the stopped working error. I've tried a mixture of everything in the launcher. |

Did you turn the anti-aliasing off from the launcher? |

Yes, AA is off. But it's strange that when I check the Launcher.ini, it shows AA off (AA = 0) and in the launcher it shows it as off, but after it launches and fails I will go back into the .ini and it shows AA = 1. |

I installed Vod's launcher per the instructions and get the same error. I don't get the small popup window, but after about 5-10 seconds I get the stopped working error. Thank you for helping me get this worked out, we'll get it! |

Did you install the game to C:/NHL 2004/ ? You should also set the launcher log on from the launcher and then you should past the launcher log to here. |

Hey guys, i also have a problem with "NHL 2004 has stopped working". I actually play a Dynasty i started in 2008 with original rosters. I have installed the launcher, arena and arena-lite. I start the game always via the launcher, with it and the nhl.exe with admin rights and compatibility mode XP SP3. My error occurs, when i want to start the game, when i hit play. Sometimes. And more annoying it also occurs when i hit the End button after a game and it should go back to the dynasty central. More annoying because it doesn't even save the game. Also just sometimes, every 3rd time about. I have aa off, but i noticed in the .ini it is set to 1. What could i do? |
