Can you post your PC specs? ![]() Did you run the launcher as an admii and also in a xp compatibility mode? You should also check that your virus protection software is not blocking the launcher. It might do it even if it doesn't popup any warning. Can you try to launch the game from nhl2004.exe. Does the game work? You should also disable the intro video. But "DisableIntro = 1" line to your launcher.ini and try to start the game from the launcher. |

Sorry for the thread necromancy. Playing on Windows 10. I'm getting "NHL 2004.exe has stopped working" error messages when the game attempts to load an actual game. Edmonton v. Buffalo in Dynasty mode. Everything else seems to be working fine. I've also installing arena lite to no avail. |

I had this exact same problem and it took what seemed like forever to finally figure it out. I had already installed NHL04 Rebuilt and it was working fine for a few days when it suddenly quit working. Every time I would boot up the game, it would freeze on a white screen at when seemed like the very moment that the announcer should say "EA Sports. It's in the game." Then an error message would pop up saying "NHL 2004.exe has stopped working." I then went over to my install of MVP 2005 Baseball by EA Sports and it was doing the EXACT same thing! Because this was happening at the moment an audio clip was supposed to play, I started to suspect that it was a sound issue. I had recently plugged in a set of USB headphones and when I unplugged my headphones, the problem was suddenly solved on both games! I would recommend that anyone having issues with this bug immediately disable or modify their sound settings and see if this resolves your problem. Good luck! |

You had occur what I have outlined here if to get the games working you had to physically remove your USB transmitter/receiver: http://z15.invisionfree.com/NHL04Rebuilt/i...?showtopic=5538 Audio devices, especially cordless headphones are the prime candidates but it occurs with other devices as well. It's a USB issue. Posting the device you had issues with will be most helpful. |

Thanks, G933 did it for me as well. Careful with firmware updates with the G933, if it works, does what you need it too, I recommend not doing any firmware updates. |
