Watching the CHI/PHX game, and the Torres hit on Hossa was brutal.
Kerry Fraiser is on the TSN intermission, and even he said its a game misconduct and possible-suspension worthy. It was a clear charge and he launched himself. They went frame by frame and said it was 0.8 seconds too late. Too close for me.

I can feel it coming in the air tonight...

That hit was absolutely terrible, but I think that Hawks needed a bit of inspiration. This, obviously, wasn't the best way to do it, but at least the Hawks are up for now 1-0.

Latest "Shanaban's";

James Neal (PIT) - 1 game for charging on Sean Couturier
Aaron Asham (PIT) - 4 games for the crosscheck and punch he gave to Braden Schenn
Nicklas Backstrom (WAS) - 1 game for the crosscheck to Rich Peverly

Quite a bit of work for the NHL Department of Player Safety I'd say, but the $2500 fine to Weber for throwing Zetterburg's face into the boards was idiotic. Weber wipes his ass with $2500 lol

Man... what a goalfest... again....!!

Both teams certainly have questionable goaltending... Philly looks very strong but I wonder if Bryzgalov is a guy who can win the Cup for them.

Great numbers, huh?

Hard to turn away from this Pit-Phi train wreck but I've changed to the NYR-Ott game, it's a close one at least.

GO SENS GO!!!!!!!!
What a snipe from Turris, top corner, just about the shot it takes to beat Lundqvist.
Coming back from 2-0 in the first, this is huge for us. We have the Rangers by the throat.
Game 5 in New York. Here we go.

I said I wouldn't use the playoffs to decrease the rating of any 79 goalie but very hard not to with Fleury/Bryzgalov.

Vancouver outplayed LA again, finally got the bounces their way this time and won.

Man, I don't know if I like the Pitts vs Philly series.

I mean it is extremly entertaining, but just don't seem like playoff hockey - Goalies are rubbish, no defense at all...Just almost too weird to be true.

Interesting to see if Pitts get's their gameplan together, so it won't be the run & gun style hockey. It seems to be Philly's thing, to just power onward on their offense.

As you said - I have the same feeling. It's very entertaining, but from tactical point of view it's a disaster. Probably their hatred has totally blinded them all, all they think about is to go forward, shoot and fight. And Goalies like Bryzgalov and Fleury are clearly in the shadow of Holtby. This guy is showing that initial concerns about the Capitals performance in the defence vs the Bruins were not justified. The guy is simply outstanding and his attributes probably should be tweaked up a bit in the game.
