is it safe to say Kings 2012 = Bruins 2011?

Bruins and Hawks roster was far deeper than LA.

Eugh Phx in the conference finals, even I don't want that, step it up Nashville.

id have to disagree with you there

game 5 of the cup finals bruins lineup:

Forwards
Milan Lucic - David Krejci - Rich Peverley
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - Mark Recchi
Michael Ryder - Chris Kelly - Tyler Seguin
Daniel Paille - Gregory Campbell - Shawn Thornton

Defense
Zdeno Chara-Dennis Seidenberg
Andrew Ference-Johnny Boychuk
Tomas Kaberle-Adam McQuaid

Scratches: Nathan Horton (concussion), Shane Hnidy, Steven Kampfer, Jordan Caron, Matt Bartkowski, Jamie Arniel, Trent Whitfield, Anton Khudobin

now compare to the Kings lineup:

Forwards
Dustin Brown - Anze Kopitar - Justin Williams
Dwight King - Mike Richards - Jeff Carter
Dustin Penner - Jarret Stoll - Trevor Lewis
Jordan Nolan - Colin Fraser - Kyle Clifford

Defense
Rob Scuderi - Drew Doughty
Willie Mitchell - Slava Voynov
Alec Martinez - Matt Greene

and their injuries are Simon Gagne and Scott Parse.

john quick and john bernier are not that far off from the Rask and Thomas duo. they match up pretty evenly.

yah ill be cheering on the coyotes lol the better smith does, the happier ill be and this has nothing to do with my tampa team :hockey1: :D

^ I still disagree. One of them is a good system team, the other one had more talent. The difference is in the 3rd/4th lines. And a lot of those LA players like Greene and Stoll really struggled in the season...they've been okay in the playoffs but I'm not convinced. They're both physical and hard fore-chcecking possession teams but I don't see them matching talent wise. Doesn't mean they won't win the cup...they're more like the 2003 Flames team that Sutter took to the finals if anything. That team played the same style and had a hot goalie (although they had Iginla too).

I'm pissed for Washington how they were leading that game and then lost after the Joel Ward 4 min penalty lol, and I'm not even a Caps fan.

Sorry but hockey of Kings is tragedy. I watched whole series with Blues, and it was sooo boring hockey, concrete defense walls on both sides, I would rather see Chicago and Canucks or Detroit. It strange cause Kings has very talented and skillty team, they could play more offensively. This year simply defensive style wins. LA-Yotes and probably Rangers-Devils almost everyone are defensive teams.

On the other way, I like that this year are outsiders on top. Its good change. My tip in SC will be Kings and Rangers (if will make it through Washington)

We can't coun't the Devils out... unfortunately. They're a good, skilled team and Brodeur has experience and is always a solid Stanley Cup winning goalie.

I never liked them though.... my dislike comes from the 90's.... they were the poster boy of trap defense and boring hockey.

I hope for Rangers-Kings final but I'm afraid it's going to be the Devils. :bad:

David Clarkson probably looks like bruin from forrest, otherwise I cant understand what Bryzgalov made last night. If he will not has good start to next season he should be decreased on 77 in our rosters. This season it was really Bryzaster.

Btw. nice try from Smith :perfect:

That wasn't Bryzgalov's fault (though he didn't do well). It was Timonen's fault for passing back to the goalie rather than clearing off the boards or if you pass back then you do it around the boards to your d partner, not the goalie.

Very disapointing result. Capitals dominated game in first and second period but no goals and 3rd period was worst effort in a long time... Maybe next year? or not..

Go Kings :hockey:

Still a great fight from the Caps. Good playoffs overall... this could have ended either way.
