So, is Luongo going out of Vancouver next year? Most would get a feeling that he is not welcome to Vancouver anymore, after letting Vancouver down last year in the Finals and this year in the first round. He lost the support of many Canucks fans. Also Cory Schneider showed the desire to play more games and showed that he is ready for a full time No. 1 position. If Luongo leaves, what teams would take him? There would be teams interested no doubt, but what can Vancouver get for him based on his contract? If he stays, would he still be a No. 1 goalie? Are Canucks fans taking him for granted? There are a lot of questions for sure. Feel free to share your opinions. |

Difficult to say.. I believe Luongo will go though, destination remains to be determined. Tampa, Toronto and Chicago would need him for different reasons, he still has the potential to carry a team to the playoffs. Everything will come down as usual to his price and who's gonna be traded for him |

Well Tampa is a most probable destination for him, for now. They need a goalie and they have a lot of draft picks for trade. |

The problem with bobby lou is if you are a team who wants him, his value is high enough that any top forward or top defenseman would probably be the right price for him but of course why would you replace a top goalie by ruining your line-up? Talked about this before I think this is very similar to Roy Halladay except Luongo now doesnt have the stature of a Halladay type athlete, I think he's really good and it was the players in front of him who ruined it for him but nevertheless Schnieder did better than him. After Nail Yakupov, u guys can correct me if im wrong, but I'm pretty sure there is a big drop off of skill so Columbus might be the team to sell a combo including their 2nd pick and some prospect for Luongo. The Devils are in the worst situation because Broduer isnt bad enough to retire yet. I Say Luongo goes to Columbus but this is very hard to tell. San Jose might be a great fit too as nettles stated. we shall see, as long as he isnt in toronto! |

There isn't a huge drop off after Yakupov, he's just the no1 favourite. There's Grigorenko, Murray if you want a dman, and Forsberg/Galneychuk. Galchenyuk could end up being better than Yakupov some people say, he was injured most of the year. The drop off for forwards happens after that but some pretty good dmen available 6th-10th. Either way, Cbj would be idiots not to pick a fwd in the top 5. |

Yeah that might happen. Also Nash wanted out of Columbus at the last trade deadline, so they might trade him for Luongo. I just don't know how Columbus would feel about Luongo's contract. |

ah ok ![]() for some reason i think i heard about an early drop off in talent mistook that for 2nd/3rd pick. So this draft is like 2004? its really anyones guess it all depends on nash. Still dont think any team would trade their star d or forward for luongo straight up. |
