Im a hc dynasty player, but havent played it in a modded nhl2004 at all, cause there's no salary cap. I think we should try to get The salary cap to game. I think it would be kind of simple to do, but there's few problems. Okay if there is salary cap coded to the game, how do i get it to say "your teams salary is more than the cap is, you cant make this trade" or something like that when going over the salary cap? And how to keep the CPU's team under the salary cap? Is there any coders who know, how to get over these problems? |

Moving this to the correct forum. As per adding a salary cap to the game, it isn't possible without the source code of the game, something in which we don't have. I'm sure if it were possible, it would've been discussed and implemented long ago. Sorry to disappoint you, but it simply can't happen. Its much more complex then adding a simple line of code, or changing a string of code. |

No... I think it's possible. Vod made some really insane things... like the THREE STARS code.... it's a simple reprogramming... it doesn't utilize the game database at all... people don't realize how complicated stuff it was..... but adding salary cap absolutely requires someone who can handle HTML/Javascript very well and is willing to invest a lot of time and energy for it. Since vod and egorgiy are both gone, we have ZERO people left who can program advanced HTML/js. Internet is full of these experts but we never got anyone into this community (besides those two people who made some very, very advanced mods to the interface). Erebos did the code for LEAGUE LEADERS... that was pretty damn remarkable work too. There are millions of other things that we could implement into the game, but we have no coders. That's the sad fact. |

rexpage is a guy that just showed up over at TBN. He's a programmer who already has done 2-3 amazing utilities for NHL09. I've been promoting the hell out of Rebuilt, but he said he wants to get familiar with 09 first then he said he'll most likely head over here. He's done some crazy stuff for the Madden series. He'd be my bet for someone who could do some nifty work
