Great reports, trent. And soon after the next roster update I will send spy some more menufaces and gamedata for SM-Liiga and Elitserien. Among them the newly-added players for Blues, Ilves (I made myself the images with the blue background), SaiPa, HIFK's Hannula etc... |

Thanks Matteo. GAME 24 (Simulated) Kärpät-HIFK 4-1 Energia Areena, Oulu Finland ![]() Skilled Kärpät was way too much for slow and seemingly spiritless HIFK tonight. Huml was on fire (1+2). Sailio got injured as well and sat most of the game (no details but it's a lower body injury). |

![]() Some changes. Leinonen replaced injured Talaja, and Mikko Kurvinen took Kyle Klubertanz's place in the D. Klubertantz has been really shaky and his +/- numbers are horrendous. Kurvinen did really well today BTW (+2) and 1 SOG. The game had a dramatic start. Ässät got a penalty shot. Shaun Heshka took it but Ortio saved. ![]() Ex-HIFK Jani Honkanen has found his home at Pori. He hasn't changed his playing style at all and invited Sim Liivik to a dance. It was pretty much a draw. ![]() Ville Peltonen scored the first goal of the game. Beautiful wrist shot. ![]() Perreault increased the lead to 2-0 but Ässät answered. Nice goal by Tuomas Pihlman. 2-1 HIFK. ![]() Ässät created a lot of pressure in the end but Roope Talaja's empty net goal secured the win for HIFK. ![]() HIFK 3 ÄSSÄT 1 1st period 01:44 IFK PEN MIKKO JOKELA Tripping, minor 02:29 ÄSS PENALTY SHOT (missed by SHAUN HESHKA) 13:40 ÄSS PEN DANIEL BRODIN Hooking, minor 2nd period 06:05 IFK PEN SIIM LIIVIK For misconduct 06:05 IFK PEN SIIM LIIVIK Fighting, major 06:05 ÄSS PEN JANI HONKANEN For misconduct 06:05 ÄSS PEN JANI HONKANEN Fighting, major 12:33 IFK GOAL (1:0) VILLE PELTONEN JOEL PERRAULT, MARKUS GRANLUND 15:18 IFK PEN COREY ELKINS Interference, minor 3rd period 00:31 IFK GOAL (2:0) JOEL PERRAULT VILLE PELTONEN, ILARI MELART 01:02 ÄSS GOAL (2:1) TUOMAS PIHLMAN JOEL ARMIA, SHAUN HESHKA 19:44 IFK ENG (3:1) ROOPE TALAJA Unassisted ![]() |

Wow, I love all these stories! I'll be posting my version of NHL shortly! I previously posted Season stories, but they never lasted long, because I wanted to do too much. This time, I'll keep things condensed and will see how long it lasts. |

GAME 26 (Simulated) HIFK-Jokerit 2-3 Helsingin Jäähalli, Helsinki Finland ![]() Standings (playoff spot is now 9 points away). ![]() League scoring leaders. ![]() I decided to make some strategy changes and perhaps shake up the lines & rosters a bit. The season goes actually really quick when you simulate half of the games... great way to play full season (for the people who have time limitations or don't want to play through 58-82 games).

![]() IFK wanted to shake the Jokerit loss from their backs and made a special preparation for this match. They arrived to Rauma one day before and slept in the local hotel. Micke Åsten and Ilkka Vaarasuo got their chance and a place in the roster tonight. Kurvinen was a healthy scratch and Åsten replaced Liivik. Åsten is a promising young player. ![]() Vaarasuo has good size and is a solid defensive D-man. Good stunt for Kurvinen. ![]() HIFK and Joakim Eriksson started the scoring in this road game. Good pass from Talaja and Eriksson placed the puck so deadly in the net. ![]() But Lukko's Eetu Koski was on fire today. He tied the game with a huge slapper. ![]() Koski put Lukko into lead with this sharp wrist shot. He was way too fast and slicky for the heavy HIFK defenders. Especially Melart and Järventie looked like slalom sticks when he was on the ice. ![]() But HIFK fought back. Mika Hannula took it to OT. Ilkka Vaarasuo got the assist. ![]() 2:45 in the OT Azevedo took a stupid offensive zone hooking penalty and HIFK got their chance to take 2 points. They used the momentum and man of the match, Eriksson scored his second goal of the night and the GWG. Eriksson had season high 9 SOG tonight. Great road win and important 2 points. ![]() LUKKO 2 HIFK 3 1st period 06:03 LUK PEN HARRI TIKKANEN Interference, minor 07:15 IFK PPG (0:1) JOAKIM ERIKSSON ROOPE TALAJA 2nd period 01:50 LUK GOAL (1:1) EETU KOSKI JESSE VIRTANEN, HARRI TIKKANEN 10:56 IFK PEN ILARI MELART Interference, minor 11:04 LUK PEN JERRY AHTOLA Obstruction hooking, minor 15:54 LUK PEN JARKKO KAUVOSAARI Hooking, minor 3rd period 03:04 LUK GOAL (2:1) EETU KOSKI JUHANI JASU 09:51 IFK GOAL (2:2) MIKA HANNULA ILKKA VAARASUO Overtime1 02:45 LUK PEN JUSTIN AZEVEDO Hooking, minor 02:51 IFK PPG (2:3) JOAKIM ERIKSSON MIKKO JOKELA, TONI SODERHOLM

![]() A home game against another traditional SM-Liiga team. First period was scoreless but at 02:18 of the second period Captain Peltonen scored from Perrault's and Hannula's assists. 1-0 HIFK. ![]() Then Ortio left a rebound and nobody really knew where the puck was. Except for Arto Tukio who snipped it in from the goal line. 1-1. ![]() Ilves took a lead with a powerplay goal by Huhtanen. 2-1 Ilves. ![]() Järventie took a penalty. Ilves couldn't score in the PP and when the penalty was over Järventie jumped from the box, got a great pass from Söderholm and went to a breakaway. Beautiful goal. 2-2. ![]() Eriksson's deadly wrist shot made it 3-2 HIFK. ![]() Ilves pulled Kolppanen but Mika Hannula put it in the empty net. 4-2 HIFK and another big win. ![]() HIFK 4 ILVES 2 1st period No scoring/penalties 2nd period 02:18 IFK GOAL (1:0) VILLE PELTONEN JOEL PERRAULT, MIKA HANNULA 07:23 ILV GOAL (1:1) ARTO TUKIO MICHAEL KERANEN, MASI MARJAMAKI 09:17 IFK PEN MIKA HANNULA Roughing, minor 10:03 ILV PPG (1:2) TUOMAS HUHTANEN TEEMU KESA 16:46 IFK PEN MARTTI JARVENTIE Obstruction tripping, minor 19:23 IFK GOAL (2:2) MARTTI JARVENTIE TONI SODERHOLM 19:56 IFK GOAL (3:2) JOAKIM ERIKSSON MIKKO JOKELA 3rd period 01:10 IFK PEN THOMAS NYKOPP Slashing, minor 17:11 IFK PEN KYLE KLUBERTANZ Interference, minor 17:26 ILV PEN TUOMAS HUHTANEN Hooking, minor 19:05 IFK ENG (4:2) MIKA HANNULA VILLE PELTONEN, ILARI MELART

![]() Micke Åsten took a stupid offensive zone penalty at 7:49. But the PK started very well... Joni Töykkälä robbed the puck from the JyP D-man Malmivaara and gave a perfect pass to Arttu Luttinen who scored a shorty. ![]() But JyP avenged that quickly. Ex-HIFK Max Wärn was forgotten completely free on the goal corner. He put it in convincingly. 1-1. ![]() Then Eric Perrin got a breakaway. Beautiful backhand goal. This guy doesn't need many chances to score. ![]() Nice shot of the arena. Retired JyP jerseys on the wall: Nikkilä, Rastela, Kurkinen. Great players, great traditions. ![]() Joel Perreault was the Man today. 2 quick goals in the beginning of the 2nd period and the tables were turned. JyP pulled their goalie and tried to tie the game but Ville Peltonen put the puck into the empty net. Important victory again and the playoff hopes are still very much alive. ![]() JYP 2 HIFK 4 1st period 07:49 IFK PEN MICKE ASTEN Slashing, minor 07:55 IFK SHG (0:1) ARTTU LUTTINEN JONI TOYKKALA 09:24 JYP PPG (1:1) MAX WARN PETR HUBACEK 12:14 JYP GOAL (2:1) ERIC PERRIN Unassisted 20:00 JYP PEN MIIKA LAHTI Hooking, minor 2nd period 00:43 IFK PEN JOEL PERRAULT Obstruction hooking, minor 03:12 IFK GOAL (2:2) JOEL PERRAULT Unassisted 15:02 JYP PEN RAMZI ABID Tripping, minor 18:24 IFK GOAL (2:3) JOEL PERRAULT VILLE PELTONEN 3rd period 06:38 JYP PEN JARI JAASKELAINEN Interference, minor 10:58 JYP PEN PETR HUBACEK Roughing, minor 19:27 IFK ENG (2:4) VILLE PELTONEN MIKA HANNULA, JONI ORTIO

Sorry about the off-topic, but is Hippos the only arena having retired numbers? I haven't seen them anywhere else... It would be cool if SM-Liiga Champion banners could be added there as well. http://s9.postimage.org/heyc4jdj3/JYP_SMx2.jpg |
