I agree... it'd be very cool to have them in every arena. It'd be an excellent addition. Also the retired jerseys... I love just that kind of details. Maybe they were originally added by the FHR guys? Modding arenas is not my expertise though... I have no idea if they can be added. SML is an open territory... anyone can improve/update it. It'd be cool to get some updates. |

I can replace textures, but these things need to be add to model in Oedit I guess, and thats beyond my skils, cause Oedit dont work for me, and even dont know how to work in it. |

 This time HIFK got a great start. Joel Perreault is on fire. He started the scoring at 3:02, 1st period. Niclas Lucenius took a hooking penalty and finally Roope Talaja was giving something back to the fans. A PP goal after a nice combination.  Then the 4th like stroke. Corey Elkins from Liivik's nice pass. 3-0. Leimu took a stupid offensive zone penalty and Talaja scored again. Yet another PP goal. 4-0 after 2 periods.  Juha Leimu knew that coach Rautakorpi wouldn't give him any compliments when he skated back to the bench.  3rd period: HIFK didn't make it easy for themselves this time, either. Tappara made one in the 2nd and then two quick goals right away in the beginning of the third. First Makkonen scored from Ville Nieminen's pass.  Then Jukka Peltola made it 4-3. This was getting tight again.  This time HIFK kept it cool and stayed out of the penalty box. It was a huge relief when Jokela scored an empty net goal, despite Tappara's huge pressure.  Great winning streak continues.  Game against Ässät got a great start. Roope Talaja scored virtually in the first shift of the game. Only 37 seconds and it was 0-1 HIFK.  Ilari Melart made it 0-2...  ...and Ville Peltonen 0-3.  Then Järventie made a mistake. Ässät star player Joel Armia stole the puck and placed it deadly in the net. 1-3 Ässät.  As usual, it was a physical games as Ässät-HIFK games always are. The crowd was very much alive when the players gave and took huge hits.  Finally the tough guys, ex teammates Jani Honkanen and Ilari Melart dropped 'em. Draw... edge Melart. "Ilari Melart hat trick" today. A goal, an assist and a fight. Way to go!  In the dying minutes of the 3rd Sami Lähteenmäki scored after HIFK sloppy defensive play. The coach took a timeout because he wanted to keep the lead no matter what.  Unfortunately it didn't help this time. HIFK couldn't clear the pressure and Ässät scored (after pulling their goalie). It went to the OT.  Fortunately HIFK was luckier this time. Eriksson saved 2 points from this road game. One of the most enjoyable games of the season... and a good result to boot. Great to see you climbing up, there are still loads of games left so you really have plenty of time to climb up there to the playoff spot. This might be a bit of a late reply, but anyway, about the retired players' jerseys... If someone can do them, I think he/she should make ones for at least these players who have died lately just for their memory, for example, Tapio Levo (#12) from Ässät. He died just a bunch of weeks ago, he was a true legend. Hopefully you guys know what I mean

They are in the current arena.viv. Update yours. Interface is the ESPN one of course. Everything is just default... no changes at all. @Chosenone: I agree... Levo and Java were true Ässät-legends. I wasn't aware of Levo's death. RIP. |

 A road trip to Lahti started nicely as Corey Elkins scored a PP goal.  Vili Sopanen was the best Pelicans player tonight. He tied the game after a real physical battle in front of Ortio's goal.  Nobody really knew how the puck got there in the HIFK 2-1 goal. Really weird pinball puck but everything counts. The goal was marked to Eero Somervuori (last man who touched the puck).  Mika Hannula hasn't been too effective but you can't blame him for not trying. He scored a well deserved 3-1 goal.  Hannula celebrating.  Vili Sopanen scored his second goal of the night at 19:12. It was going to be yet another thriller.  Coach Kari Jalonen was furious. He yelled expletives to his players and threatened them with an extra morning practice if they lost the lead in the dying seconds again. Pelicans created an enormous pressure but Ortio saved the game (and three valuable points for his team).  Two roster changes. Pakarinen made it back to the lineup and young Tuohilampi was given a shot.   A slow start for both teams. But then Iiro Pakarinen thanked for the roster spot and put HIFK into lead with a perfect slapshot from the hash marks. 1-0.  Ville Peltonen scored the 2-0 goal. HIFK played really convincingly and the defense was working today.  Talaja and Töykkälä took penalties and Lukko had a 5-3 powerplay in the beginning of the 3rd period.  Lukko couldn't get anything going and HIFK PK was working great. Pakarinen played really well in the PK as well and he really secured his roster spot with the important 3-0 goal.  Mika Norja almost got a shutout but in the dying seconds Lukko got a consolation goal.  Great win nevertheless. Norja played an excellent game and stopped 24 shots.
