Do you have HDR Mod installed? That slows down the game considerably. Remove the 2 small files enbseries.ini and the d8*.dll to uninstall it. |

There's a bunch of problems associated with using this program alongside ENB or any other D3D hooks. So d3d8.dll should not be in the nhl 2004 folder. HDR/Bloom lighting is kinda pointless in a game like this anyhow. It's meant to (poorly) simulate sunlight. I will add a check for d3d8.dll to the launcher in the next update. With that said, the performance problem is probably caused by the simple fact that more of the crowd needs to be rendered with the wider view / higher FOV, which can really impact the FPS. The two settings that impact performance the most are FOV and Antialiasing. Keep the FOV and antialiasing as low as you can tolerate. AA isn't as necessary in a game like this as it is in a game such as a first person shooter because of the camera angle and distance from objects. 2x or 4x should be fine. Even disabled will be fine for many people. |

I had it installed, but unistalling it didn't seem to affect it any. I've set my switchable graphics to run nhl2004.exe to "High Performance" (run on my Radeon 6770 instead of embedded Intel) but that doesn't seem to affect it either. Is there a different .exe file that I might need to change that get's launched for the game or something? |

Other exes shouldn't affect performance. What are your launcher settings? |

I know I've said this before, but now I'm going to have to stick to it. I'm now officially dropping support of any version under 1.04. I'll support both the rebuilt and non-rebuilt 1.04 NHL2004.exe. It will dramatically slow my work down if I need to support multiple versions. Version 1.41 is still in the works and will have multiple options controlling fights. It will also introduce the first LUA scripts. Features such as dynasty date etc will now be handled by LUA scripts instead of hard coded. You just set the memory address within the script (via a callback) and you're good to go. To make it a bit easier, there will be constants for known memory addresses. Also, I have a request for the artists out there: Anyone want to make a nice icon for launcher.exe?

Good call Vod. We all have limited time and resources so it's important to focus where we can make the most impact. Good luck with the next version!

Sorry if I am a little off topic... But will a next version of the launcher manage to change the overlays with your textures change (like using PNG instead of fsh ? In order to have better res and real transparent stuff. like on those screens for instance (sorry for the HHUUUGGE image ) |

It won't be in the next version. Some more reverse engineering needs to be done, but it will be possible in a future version. ![]() You will be able to render 2d sprites and text via LUA scripts in the next major version, but you won't be able to detect certain things that are necessary for overlays to look right and certain information necessary for displaying all overlays won't be available yet. For instance, you won't be able to detect when the pause menu is up, or replay mode or specific custscenes etc. At least not as of now. That may change before the next major version though. The next major version being 1.5. 1.41 will be coming before that. |

Im sure wide gameclock is dream for many players, sound like golden age is comming. I have question, this time not graphical. Its somehow possible to set 3-2-1 point system for NHL and National tournament? I mean I want it for V3 for KHL where for win is 3 points, 2 points for OT win and 1 for OT loss. Same it is on Olympics or National tournaments. Of course it should be optional choice, cause NHL use classic point system. I now someone post here exe from Egorgyi where 321 system was made for national tournaments, but it was not compatible with launcher. Its just detail, but It should not be so hard, league loader can handle it, but support just EU leauges. |

If you can link me to the exe, it should help me hunt down the addresses that I need for that. Is anyone in contact with Egorgyi? It would be nice to get a list of all of the memory addresses he has located. |

Nice work. Just the final leg on the R looks thin. Would it be possible to modify the back end of the N for a curved effect? Just thinking out loud here. But really good work, especially with just 'NHL' as the source.
