Is it hard to do? My tech skills is basically just doing batch files a little more complicated then the one i sent you. |

It will be hard if you don't have any experience with x86 assembly. Otherwise, it's just time consuming,

Alright that's fine but what are you doing with that? Just having it as a pop up window or just having it set for each clock? |

There will be a new field in the clock config files to select a font. |

Quick question: What is the proper syntax to use the MyDocsPath option? Should I go like this: MyDocsPath = C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents\NHL 2004? or MyDocsPath = C:\Games\NHL 2004\? Should I use quotes? Thanks! |

It should work with or without quotes, even if there are spaces in the path. It will replace the my docs path directly, so if you set it to "C:\Games\NHL 2004\" then the game will consider that to be the new path and will expect to find: "C:\Games\NHL 2004\NHL 2004\DB" "C:\Games\NHL 2004\NHL 2004\USER" etc... To make it a little less confusing, it would be a good idea to add a new folder in the main game folder called My Documents and set MyDocsPath = "C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents\". Then the game will expect to find: "C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents\NHL 2004\DB" "C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents\NHL 2004\USER" etc.. I hope that helped.

Hey Vod! Thanks for the quick answer, but it's not working as intended. I've set up MyDocsPath as C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents\, and copied that "NHL 2004" folder to the path above, but still loads the default rosters. Any idea why this is happening? (BTW, thanks a lot for the hard work on the launcher, playing this game in 1440x900 is amazing!) |

This feature is still a work in progress, so it isn't guaranteed to work. Which version of windows do you use? |

I'm using Windows 7, IE 10. On the Launcher Log.txt, it shows that the path has been changed: Replacing My Documents path with "C:\Games\NHL 2004\My Documents" Thanks! EDIT: I think I found a workaround. I made 2 folders inside the system's Documents folder, one with the rosters of the main version and the other with the rosters of AHL14, and renamed them to NHL 14 and AHL 14, inside those, I put the NHL 2004 folder and its sub folders (DB, USER, etc.). When I set up the path in launcher.ini, it works fine. So you can use different folders, but they have to be inside the system's Documents folder, at least in my case. Thanks all for the help! |

Thanks Vod. Uploading the interface with this newest build right now. I think it should always have the newest Launcher. I was just thinking... I get the "white screen of death" every tenth time or so.... I go back to task manager and end the NHL2004.EXE task which is not responding. It's no big deal but it happens sometimes (for whatever reason). When I relaunch it, it works ok. Why does the white screen show up in the startup? Is it because the intro (even though intro is off by default)? Can we remove the whole intro from the game? Perhaps that would get rid of the constant issues. Just thinking... |

It's an elusive bug with the launcher itself which could also result in the game outright crashing during startup. Probably a timing issue with the injector. Hopefully I will find a fix soon. |

Oops... I meant that I get this with and without the launcher... it simply happens randomly. It's weird... it never happened with IE8 and XP... but now IE9 and W7 have occasional issues with the startup. There's no logic, either... it's completely random. It happens when the desktop changes the resolution to 800 x 600. My uneducated guess is that it's somehow related to the intro. Maybe when the intro is set off, the game still launches some small part of it every time? |
