If anyone here has experience with memory hacking / using a debugger for reverse engineering and you would like to help out with 1.5, please contact me.

Ollydbg is a debugger. It automatically runs NHL2004... |

It starts the process in a paused state... If you're interested in learning, there's lots of guides online. |

I have a question or two. Do i start to edit from nhl2004.exe or launcher.exe If i find something that i change that is launcher worthy how can i give it to you? What programs do you use other than ollydbg? What is the best guide? Im just a little curious. |

You edit nhl2004.exe. If you find a memory address for a subroutine, variable, structure or a block of code that could be useful, I would just need the address and a brief explanation of what you discovered. When it comes to debuggers, IDA pro is also good. For general memory searching/hacking, Cheat Engine is pretty decent. But I'm sure there's lots of other good programs out there. I'm not sure what the best guide is; You would have to Google it. You'll need to learn some x86 assembly if you want to get anywhere with a debugger. |

Hello VOD I have a major problem. I didn't play for quite a time. And I downloaded the last launcher, and now I can't use controls anymore the keyboard nor the joystick don't work anymore. I can choose them but they don't react ingame. nothing If I launch the regular nhl2004 No problems. When i launch the game with the launcher If I try to go to config controllers I get a crash to desktop. But if I launch it normaly no problems. I used the previous launchers several times and didn't have any problems. Maybe a directX issue |

That is strange. Are you using the nhl2004.exe that comes with the rebuilt interface? |

Hey Vod, was wondering if you could look into something; At the game setup screen, after selecting your jerseys/gameclock, if you navigate to the edit lines/starting lineup screen, then back to the game setup screen it resets what you've selected, anything you can do about that?
