Hello to all, I find some bug in the game. I started new Dynasty and I put to the launcher.ini -> DynastyStartYear = 2013 Everything works fine with dates but: When I doubleclick on some player at the STATS CENTRAL -PlayerStats table, every player has right born date BUT right age+10 years for example: Crosby AGE: 36 BORN: August 7, 1987 is this normal, or exists some solution? This +10 years can have some affect on statistics? maybe for shorter player's career? |

OK, thanks. Also I want you to inform that this parameter DynastyStartYear has affect on AWARDS area. When I click on it I have script about "null players" ... bad "awards_interface.js" The reason is that game doesn´t have awards between years 2003 - 2013. I tried to start the new season, without DynastyStartYear parameter at launcher.ini and everything is OK, I can see Awarded players, teams and age of every player is correct. |

Thank you. I will add a fix to the interface shortly for the awards error. I'm also still working on tracking down the age bug. Hopefully I will have a fix soon. |

Does this work on the 96/97 mod (which is version 1.01)? I'm mainly just interested in playing with a screen res higher than the 1280 one. |

@Nettles: You can use 1.04 just as well on the vintage mod. It doesn't make much difference and use the Launcher. |

I wonder if you guys have experimented with texture filtering and multisample aliasing... and what benefits those give? Any settings that you recommend? PS: I finally had a chance to play NHL04 on a big monitor and widescreen. The game looks absolutely incredible with the high resolutions. It's almost comical how much we have managed to improve this game in every way. PS2: Vod, do you think it'd be possible to increase the amount of replays (especially on goalie saves)? That'd be nice. Most of the replays come from hits. Making the after-the-whistle cutscenes longer would be cool too. It's probably difficult... just wondering... |

I have no idea how this would done, but it would be amazing. Also, if possible, replays of the fights, that we currently have none. Regards, Franco MDH |

1) The best way to see the affect of texture filtering is by disabling anisotropic filtering by setting texture filtering to bilinear (also make sure it's not forced in your GPU drivers), going into instant replay mode and moving the camera so that it looks down the ice. You will notice that the ice will look blurry (anisotropy) in the distance at that oblique angle. Anisotropic filtering fixes that and makes the ice look sharp at all angles. Anisotropy isn't as big of a problem in this game as it is in others (such as a first person shooter) due to the camera angle during gameplay. No texture filtering: http://image.bayimg.com/e680dd0003790ac438...1d26a4e0ab9.jpg 16x anisotropic filtering: http://image.bayimg.com/6bc88d4f5aad8bc2da...0eef8bcc1e0.jpg Antialiasing makes the edges of models smoother. Again, aliasing isn't really a problem in a game like this due to the fact that models are rarely rendered close (or very far) to the camera. You'll have to zoom in on things to see the rough edges, which AA fixes. The more samples you use, the smoother the edges will be. For an example, zoom in on the scoreboard, rotate the camera and look at the edge of the model. [dohtml]<img src="http://procom.wju.edu/325/325common/325glossaryGraphics/antialiasing.gif" style="width:150px;" title="Click to enlarge" />[/dohtml] 2) I'm not sure about the replays. The presentation in general seems to be done in scripts.viv using a scripting language which has been compiled into bytecode. It would be really nice to reverse engineer the file format. |

Maybe the -nointro option could be used as a default? Intro causes problems for many users. And I mean really... who cares about the intro? |

Great mod, unfortunately I tried playin in windowed mode however the window is set permanently too smal and cant be resized, I tried changing the INI values however that doesnt work, the window stays a static size which is very small. |

Would it be possible to change the average shots per game count for simmed games? And also to enable those GV and TK count for played games. |

Is there a minimum graphics card requirement for this launcher to work?. I have an old Radeon 9600 series card. I keep getting a "Your graphic card is not configured error". Does the Ati Control Center conflict with it? I placed the launcher exe and its dll in a folder on my desktop. Is that ok? Thanks. |

@djkinetic: The window size should be the same as the screen resolution. Can you post a screenshot and your Launcher.ini settings? @Nepthunian: It's possible, but it would require more reverse engineering to find its location in the code @edmontonmercurys: Is that the exact error message that you get? Just a heads up: There will be no more 1.4 releases. The next release will be version 1.5. I can't give an exact date, but it should be very soon.
