Can you try adding QuickLaunch = 1 to launcher.ini? That will skip the launcher options window and just start the game. |

Can we use different FOV values for replays and some cutscenes in the future? I've been playing with FOV during the replays and cutscenes and some of the angles look utterly amazing. Shots from the vintage mod: http://i.imgur.com/wpzsdt8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VxEtTVM.jpg I mean the Launcher is already capable of doing this stuff so perhaps we could add some cutscenes that show the buildings from these angles? |

I tried your launcher today mainly to fix a problem a I have which makes parts of the game "transparent". Unfortunately I can't get it to run, all I get is an error saying: "Your 3D accelerator card and/or your video card could not be initialized properly. Please update the drivers for you 3D and/or video card. Contact you manufacturer to obtain the latest drivers." Before you ask, yes my drivers are up to date so the fix described in the error message is not the way to go. I haven't checked the 43 other pages of this thread so sorry if this problem was already addressed. Also if you could tell me if there's a fix for my transparency problem that'd be great ! ![]() This is a screenshot of my "transparency" issue. Thanks! |

About a ""Your 3D accelerator card and/or your video card could not be initialized properly. Please update the drivers for you 3D and/or video card" error My friend had the same problem and we found out that he solved the problem when he set launcher at xp compability mode and run as an admistrator. After that he didn't have that graphic card error. |

I tried, it worked once but it crashed saying "NHL 2004 stopped working" when I tried to start a game. After that, it went back to giving me the video card error no matter what compatibility setting I put it on. Thanks for trying though, I thought it was working for a second hahaha. |

@Trent: Like most things, that can already be done with launcher 1.5 if someone wants to do it. @rouquinsman: What are your system specs? @Sense: Are you sure it was XP compatibility mode? Just out of curiosity, can you have your friend disable it and see if the error message comes up again? |

I've got: CPU: i7-3770 3.4 GHz Ram: 8GB GPU: R9 270X 2GB DirectX 11 OS: Windows 8.1 Anything else that would be relevant? I'm trying to run it at 1920*1080p. I tried to update my interface, rosters, arena.viv and game faces but it didn't change anything. The game runs on the regular .exe (apart from the transparent elements) but the launcher just won't work. |

You can try creating a log and see if it tells you anything useful. Add CreateLog = 1 to launcher.ini. The log will be called "launcher log.txt" and will be saved in the game folder. |

Yes it was xp compability mode! But after that he got the problem with menu interface so he cannot press anything. So he decided to uninstall the game because the game was also in the wrong path. When he install the game again and if there is still this same problem, I'll ask him to test this xp compability mode thing! He has Windows 8.1. |

Just a super offtopic With that kind of disappearance no helmets would be possible because I remembered that there was an issue at mid or long range... |

You would have to either deactivate the player model LOD system or replace the LOD models. It will be a hard problem to fix, but it is possible. |

Hello I am trying NHL 2004 on new computer. I have just installed game, copied that exe file from rebuilt and Vodīs launcher. Started launcher, ticked everything and crashed - "NHL has stopped working." I disabled multisample antialising. It now seems without problem (I havent played more than some minutes because checking with which setting I will not get crash. Antialising was one of things which I wanted (more than texture filtring, less than widescreen), so I would welcome any help here. Otherwise it looks awesome and I cant wait to play it tommorrow with or without antialising. Thank you Vod! |

@sence: All that is required for the launcher to work is nhl2004.exe from rebuilt mod. @RedDuck: Have you tried different samples? If that doesn't work, you should be able to force AA in your graphics card control panel. |
