Are you forcing any AA settings in the nvidia control panel? I use a GTX 460 and I haven't experienced a black screen. If you do have a profile for NHL 2004 in the nvidia control panel and you use this launcher, it's a good idea to set everything to application controlled. |

I don't really change the settings in the control panel. So no I'm not forcing AA settings. I'll try the updated launcher and let you know if it works. |

Great work Vod. However I suffered extreme lag since Update 1.1 or so. It was on a dedicated notebook card, which should run the game fine. It did so in the first release. I'm just about upgrading to a Desktop PC so I won't have to bother with it anyway

My game lags with this since first version for 1.04 Exe (which I use). I just change resolution from 1024x768 to 1366x768, dont use AA, Vsync or anything else. FOV sets on 0 and then on 15. Well I guess its cause I have low-performance on my laptop, especially graphic card (Intel HD), but still I was surprised that only resoulution change made the game so laggy. |

Yeah this is exactly the version that had these problems. Don't know if switching back to the 1.03 exe fixes the problem. |

If you decide to try 1.03, let me know of the results. I will work on some performance improvements and add more tweaks to the config. The two biggest performance killers right now are FOV and AA. You may want to also try messing with the manual config settings (first post) and see if any of them help. Make sure to activate the FPS display using F12 or setting DrawFPS to 1 in the config file. |

AA tends to be a pain. So many variables from card-to-card... Thanks for version 1.31!

I have got a AMD Radeon HD6970M at 2560X1440 and i have the black screen when I choose AA even with the last launcher. There is also a HUUUGE problem when you patch nhl2004.exe with unlimited fight it says uncompatible version. it is a pity because with the wide and high resolution fights are gorgeous. especialy the start and ending (like every cutscenes). By the way it is now impossible to me to take screenshots (The game quits immediately) |
