Hi! This is great game, i got it up and running, 04 rebuilt and this launcher, but i have a problem. The graphics seem to be in a wrong order, or inside out, how to best describe it. Faces are like inwards, and the goal net and arena sides seem to be on top of players, not behind them. Running AMD FX-4300 and Radeon hd7850. Without the launcher everything was normal. |

You'll have to use trial and error to see what works best.
Are you using ATI tray tools or a similar program that has z-buffer tweaks? |

I have AMD's own Gaming Evolved and Radeon Settings -programs, they probably do something but not sure about that. EDIT: Now it seems to be all right, changed Radeon Settings from high quality to balanced. Really nice game! |

Any upcoming updates Vod...your mod launcher is great...just wondering about the scoreboards horizontal update. Thank you...sc96a Also any other way to facilitate graphic improvements? Don't get me wrong, the game looks great but nhl 2016 looks more realistic. |

There is always upcoming updates. Nothing new at the moment though, other than closed alpha testing starting very soon. ![]()
Check out my development threads. All of the information is there regarding what the launcher can and can't do. Graphics on par with NHL 16 won't be happening anytime soon. It would be easier to make a new hockey game from scratch than to make NHL 04 look like NHL 16 (or even last gen legacy). |

Thanks Vod I always appreciate your feedback...TBH I still prefer NHL 04 rebuilt to NHL 16 just because everything is always kept up to date and the game mechanics are unique to this game and fun to use. |

I also used NVIDIA'S Dynamic Sample Resolution downsampling offering for a screen resolution of 5120x2880 @60hz and the game looks and plays fantastic on my 27 inch monitor. Can you imagine playing at this resolution with all the bells and whistles on a 55" OLED TV (3840x2150)...wow. |

Any time ![]()
In terms of textures and models, it is possible to make the game look somewhat comparable to NHL 16. Pretty much any static object can be replicated in 04 when model injection is finished, but the limitations of DX8 and EA's old graphics engine will hurt performance when it comes to things like improving the crowd models. The other major limitations are animations, physics and shader model 1.4. NHL on both new gen and old gen uses a dynamic physics engine for many of the player animations and a large number of conventional, high framerate animations for the static animations, whereas NHL 2004 uses a very basic animation system where somewhat low FPS preset animations are played in every situation. The animations are largely what sets the newer console games apart from the older games visually. |

What're you planning to do with the offside? Change where it's located or have the players play as if ignoring it when offsides are off? |

Thanks Vod...I didn't even think that the in between animations was the big standout between NHL 04 and the newer versions...I still prefer the quality of what you and others have done to this rebuilt version...ie game mechanics, faces, uptodate rosters, etc. keep up the good work...My son and I appreciate it. |

Hey Vod, dont know if someone asked this before but are the line changes hard coded or are they "easy" to tinker with? Basically what I am asking for is if we can have the ability to make separate line changes for defenseman and forwards as in NHL 16. So maybe keys 1 - 4 are for forward lines 1- 4 and 5 - 7 are for defensive pairs 1 - 3. |

Having issue with launcher. Not seeing new options in .ini also game loads to small offset window, most options inaccessible. |

You have to manually add options that are not there by default
Does this only happen if you start the game with the launcher? Can you post a screenshot? |

I'm using your 1.45 launcher and while I have 1920x1080 selected, the maximum option available in the game is 1600x1200. Is that to be expected? How do I get the game to play in full 1920x180 resolution? |
