Hey Guys, Myself and Zubey have been going over the CPU/Human trading rules and are proposing a change for the second season. This would eliminate a lot of unnecessary rules and also the extra steps that were needed to calculate the latest winners, waiting on passwords etc. 1)Using the NEHL Trade Calculator you would place an offer to the CPU owners like you would an FA offer. List the offer in the thread including the Acceptance percentage and Trade Values. There are no hidden offers and no passwords will be needed. If 48 hours have passed and no new counteroffer (a trade with the same or higher trade value) has been placed, we roll for the acceptance percentage to see if the current leading offer is accepted. If it isn't accepted, we go to the next highest offer from an owner who hasn't yet been given a chance to roll. Trade Value ties are decided by who offered the youngest players by average age. 2) Only one trade offer may be initiated per CPU owner at a time. Once the open offer has been resolved you may place a new offer on that team. 3)The Trade Calculator would be updated and posted each Sunday night. If you have any feedback or questions post them here |

This sounds great! This will also protect the CPU team actually in a way, and prevent it from being so easy to improve your team via CPU trades. One problem is what do we do when a cpu team then becomes a human controlled team? Does the current trade get voided? Then we get problems because lets say I'm dealing Toews to Buffalo for Silfverberg and I submitted the offer, but 30 minutes later I learn that Petr92 has joined the league and wants Buffalo. With Petr92 being a fake account, that would be unfair for my trade to get voided. So in essence what I'm asking is when does the trading stop? In my mind there is no fair resolution. So many loopholes in there people can abuse in order to win a cpu trade or force someone else out of a cpu trade. Unless this is solved, I would say keep the current system. |

Just like usual I would guess the owner can't join until the offer is closed. I remember a system similar to this was in place a few years ago and was effective. Looks good. |

but the offer can go on forever though until someone has a high enough TV that no one can match, so a team could be stuck as cpu for the whole season |

From what I gathered a GM can only make one offer per team (Mike please clarify), so there wouldn't be an all out bidding war, and it wouldn't extend very long (if you want to initiate an offer then make sure its a good one). |

ok if you can only make that one offer and not rebid then thats fine, but if its like free agents, then that will be a problem if u can keep submitting offers |

No one would be given a team if it was currently involved in a CPU/Human offer. The new owner coming in would get his team after the trade was resolved with the human owner. |

All depends on how badly the owners want that player.... Make a serious offer right away and you get rid of half the buyers in the market. |

Sounds good for me. Easier for new owners and less steal trades for Cpu teams. Why waiting for next season, we can start this rule now? |

thanks for the explanation mike! so for example if buffalo and ottawa are cpu teams, I cant make two offers to ottawa and buffalo? i can only counter offer or submit an offer to one of the teams at a time? Id say start now! this seems like a better way to do it! |

Can you use the same player in two different active bids? For example, can I offer, say Backstrom, to Buffalo and then offer him to NJ while I am still in the lead for the Buffalo trade? |

How about including something that would prevent the CPU teams from running out of Defenders/Forwards/Goalies. You know what I mean?

Only one offer can be made by a team at a time Blazer. Andus, you should check the Trade Calculator because it already does that ![]() If the cpu team has too few forwards, defenseman or goalies after a certain trade, the trade calculator will say something like "This leaves me with too few Defenseman" |
