Continuous OT in european leagues playoffs?

I currently play an EBEL season (check it out if haven't yet B)) and am in the playoffs. I've just noticed that the games can go into shootout after 5 minutes of OT, even though I set up "Continuous OT" (also checked it in NHL View).

I had OT + shootouts in the regular season, so maybe this could be a problem. Anyway, I was just wondering if somebody knows how to fix this?
It's not the end of the world, but it would make the game more realistic (and there is nothing greater than endless sudden death overtimes :D)

You have to change the overtime manually before the first game of the playoffs.

That's really annoying and I hope we can eventually find a solution for this. It should change automatically.

Same problem with NHL.

I did in fact change it manually before the first playoff game. Maybe I should have done it before the last regular season game?

Here the rules I have set, i tried it once again and it still went to the shootouts.

Weird.

You could be right though. I never had this kind of problem when I set it up only after the last reg. season game.

Super annoying for sure. Got bumped out of the playoffs in my NJ season cause of this. Would be great to get a fix, but I think for now the way to go is to change it before you play your last regular season game.

Awww, damn it. I made a backup of my season a couple of days ago, but I think this was after the last regular season game.
Anyway, thanks guys.

I have this similar problem with DEL-season. When I created the season I set up "continuous OT" as the tie-break system, but still the game goes to the shootout. So is there any trick left? I have also tried to change the tie-break before the last regular season game, but it didn't work either.

Might be NHL.com interface that you're using... and it doesn't support this feature?

Official ESPN interface has a lot of code updates to the EU leagues too. Ciais fixed this issue about 1.5 years ago for good.

If you're using the latest interface you will not get this problem.

I use the latest ESPN interface. I noticed that it works well in the NHL-season, but not in the EU-leagues. Strange huh?

I have to check this on Sunday. Maybe I remember this wrong and that code wasn't added to the EU leagues.

Hello, it's me again. Can someone friendly confirm that this problem exists in-game and not because my lack of understanding how to install the game properly. I'd like to play these European modes, but it really downs the feeling when you have to decide the playoff-game with shootouts. Thank you!
