So, waiting for updates on jerseys and goalies and such, I've tried to import pads and jerseys (saved as bitmaps), but I keep getting errors with FshEd, saying "failed creation of 3D device", then says "Access violation at 000000." So on, so forth. I'm running Windows 7, have tried running it with XP compatibility mode, have used Graphics Importer tool, and have the NHL 2004 path as C/NHL 2004. Any ideas? |

Try working with pngs. Also got the access violation when ending the program (OS: Win 7 64 bit) but that does not matter, cause everything else works fine. |

Tried using PNGs, JPGs, and bitmaps with no luck.

Make sure you have the Graphics Importer plugin to go along with FshEd, and work with PNG's. Replacing textures via the properties window is the most common way of getting errors and corrupting the files. I've used the graphics importer plugin for importing literally thousands of textures and have never had a single problem. PNG's are better for working with textures for 2004 |

Tried the Graphics Importer, and I get the "failed creation of 3D device" error with the masks/pads/jerseys/whateveer just showing up black.

Sorry to bump this, but I still can't get it to work and really wanted to to get a season/Dynasty started here on the forums. Any thoughts? |

I'm having this weird issue with FSHed. I'm trying to import a new team logo to Gamedata.viv. Whenever I try to import it gives me this error message and nothing is going in.![]() Someone suggested to use PNG's. Yeah... good suggestion but the program import option doesn't even recognize them. ![]() I always have that error when I quit the program but it doesn't affect anything. This is the first time it happened when importing a bitmap. What is the newest version of FSHED? |

Can you post the files you have ? Just to be sure: You'll try to import a png into LOGO_xxxxxx.fsh and not directly into gamedata.viv. |

Of course. ![]() The file is LOGO_SML_KAZ.fsh from the v1. That error message comes immediately when I open the file and logo and click "IMPORT - NEW" button. |

I never use IMPORT->NEW I use: Tools->Graphic Importer, then OPEN in the next dialog: and change the datatype to png or just type in filename.png |
