I made a new referee for the 1910s era and I have this weird collar issue...

Posted Image

How come am I getting this cream collar texture over my original design...!?!?!

Anything I forgot to overwrite!?!?!

From what I see the cream collar is taken from somewhere in your ref texture -- probably the back of the collar itself, try making it white like the jacket underneath and see what happens :)

To troubleshoot correctly, I decided to overwrite my actor.viv (taken originally from Vintage B3) with the Rebuilt actor.viv file. Then I imported my referee_DEL.fsh file in it...

I got this result...

Posted Image

so the collar seems to come from another file... cause as you see it's black like the modern referee jerseys...

it's weird because the referee.fsh contains only 4 images

TORS = the jersey/sweater
HELM = helmet
LLEG = the pants
FOAM = this I don't know, but it was the same small 16 x 16 image in both Vintage and Rebuilt referees so I'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with the collar...!

JJ got back to me and he has no issue what the problem is...

Although it seems you were right Franco. It has to be taken from a part of the jersey/sweater itself!
NHL referee has a black collar and Vintage referee has a cream one... it can't be anything else!?

Anyone has a clue?

Make a new texture entirely and divide it into squares, maybe 3x3, so 9 squares, with every square a different color -- I did it all the time when retexturing the arenas to see where each (part of the) texture was ;)

Now this game is really F#cked Up!

here's my texture for testing!!!

Posted Image

here's the result... wait a second, the referee has a helmet!?!?!
and the colour is blue...!!!!

Posted Image

but wait a second again... if I zoom just a little bit more... the colour is green and the ref has no helmet...!!! WTF...!?!?!?!?!

Posted Image

no I'm totally lost...!?!?!?! :thinking: :blink: :( :unsure: (those are all me at the same time!)

It's the different models

Depending on the zoom level, the game switches automatically between a low-detail model and a high-detail one to save FPS

Anyhow Dan, what I meant was to divide the entire texture into differently-colored squares :P

i know what you meant but this looked like the fastest way to find the area i was looking for...

Anyhow now I'm gonna concentrate in the blue/green area and find the exact spot I'm looking for!!!

How can I make the helmet disappear for good?
