Hi guys I already reported this in the downloads section, but I realize now that it was probably the wrong one since I assume all troubleshooting should take place here. I had this lovely rebuilt mod of yours working fine on my old laptop with windows vista and now that I'm trying to move it to the nerwer Desktop with wondoes 7 or 8 I can't even install the original game. I had been told on these Forums to make a fresh install on the new PC with the original CDs than to copy other the whole modded folder on this fresh install on the newer desktop, install things to the Mydocument folder and everything should have worked. The problem is that while I try to install the original game from the cds, it asks me to install macromedia Flash or Shockwave and when I refuse (cos I don't wanna mess with my current updated adobe flash etc) the installation stops cos it says that macromedia flash is needed for the game to run. I tried than to just copy the whole modded rebuilt folder from my old laptop directly but probably without the original install it can't find things in the registry and the game crash as soon as I launch it from the folder exe.... Can anybody help me in some way? Thanks in advance if you do, it would be great to move that game on my newer PC, even cos I don't know how long the old laptop will last.... |

IIRC I let the old flash install and installed an actual version of Flash and Shockwave afterwards. I do have Win 7 64 bit and had no problem to install the base game. |

Well thanks but I'm afraid I'm not ready to make something like that.... I need flash player for several reasons and can't afford to mess up installing an application that is 12 years old just to reinstall later on top of that the current one.... And it's difficult for me to believe that everybody here on this board did this risky thing.....If there's another way to bypass that to play this lovely game I'd be extremely happy and grateful if not I'll keep playing it sometimes on the old laptop and hope that it will last forever.... Edit: we'll I was just too impatient I let it install that macromedia crap and apparently it didn't mess thing up , and then I copied over the modded folder and now this great mod works, or at least it seems so.... |

I have always installed the game to various modern os's and never had ONE SINGLE PROBLEM. why would installing old macromedia create any problems when you install new one on top of it? that's just ridiculous.
