You're pretty much on your own. Very few of us have W10. Some say NHL04 works fine on W10 though. Personally, I never understood why people are so obsessed updating their OS's all the time. What for? I can browse the Net with this W7 just as well. |

I gave WIN 10 a try (do have WIN 7) as I thought - why not. Got the driver issue with an ATI HD 6670 Radeon and my RDP-connection to my PC at work (maybe a setting) and decided fast to go back to WIN 7 as I had not much to time to try to fix the issues. |

I've been thinking it too. If you're fine with something (Windows 7) why to take the risk and try something new (Windows 10) and screw up everything?

Well the switchback to Win 7 was an option when having Win 10 (I mean it was offered), press one button wait 15 minutes and you have you old system again :-) - that is a real nice feature in Win 10. |

I wish you'd have the same kind of switch button for your wife... push of a button... wait 15 minutes... and you'll have the hot 20-year old back again. ![]() |

I just got a new computer after 11 years, so it had windows 8. I have 7 at work and liked it but 8 seemed annoying. I just finished upgrading to 10 today before I even put anything on this computer. I'm trying all of that soon so any tips would be much appreciated. |

FYI...I am able to use the game on Windows 10 with only one problem I've noticed so far...if you take a screenshot in a replay, the game crashes. To get it to run on Windows 10, try this: 1) For both nhl2004.exe and Launcher.exe, right-click on them and then click on Properties. On the Compatibility tab, check two things: First, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" checkbox and in the drop-down, select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and second, check the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox. Click Apply then OK. Again, do this to both of those exe files. 2) Open launcher.ini in an editor and at the end of it, add "Windowed = 1" without the quotes. It works for me doing it this way. I have the full mod installed complete with updated ditties and Bagel's awesome glossy logos! I am unable to run it full screen though, but it is almost full screen anyway since I can run it with the launcher in a 1920x1080 window. I can also just use the built-in Windows 10 Snipping Tool if I want to take a screenshot. Here are all my settings in my Launcher.ini file: Width = 1920 Height = 1080 RefreshRate = 60 Antialiasing = 4 Filtering = 4 VSync = 0 TripleBuffering = 1 Fov = 12 Windowed = 1 For me, the game starts to lag if I antialias any higher than 4. Also, your RefreshRate might be different based on your GPU/monitor, so if it is different than 60, I would leave that value alone. I hope this helps. Cheers, Glen |

Does it crash even if you press F12 to take screenshot? Because printscreen is out of service in the game and game WILL crash. |

You use Button F12 for the screenshot, right? That's the Launcher shortkey. Never use PRNT-SCRN button. If it crashes it's not a W10 issue... it crashes on W7 too. |

F12 seems to do nothing and if I click the Camera icon, I get a CTD. The screenshots are supposed to show up in your \Documents\NHL 2004 folder somewhere, no? Perhaps I'm doing something wrong...is there anyone else on Win10 that can take a screenshot successfully? |
