Hi guys, Been following this movement on and off for ~6 months, but never got the program to work. finally bought a controller, so now im determined to get this playing. I have the exact symptom as described by OP. I'm running NHL 04 on a macbook (via bootcamp. win 7 (SP1), I5 2.6, 8 gb, iris 1.5 gb gfx). I installed c:/nhl04, running ie8, etc (tried to follow all the steps accurately). my mac has a retina screen screen, meaning that though its 13" it can max res to 2560-by-1600 (but i've tried using various res with both the launcher and/or by resetting main OS desktop res). i was reading the post about managing the ingame res (to mitigate stretching problems) with a hex editor, but can anyone tell me if that could work? im really at a loss here after trying lots of different approaches, but have little IT knowledge to start hacking around. im attaching a screen of my symptom (the image shows everything i can see on the screen. eventually i have to just bring up task manager to kill the game because i can't click anything to go forward. though weirdly, when demo mode comes up, the image seems to correct itself and recenter). i really appreciate and thank you a lot for any help you can provide, i cant wait to play!

I am also doing this same thing now on a Macbook Pro, i wanted to play this on my dual boot mac/windows 7. I am very familiar with the game as I have been playing since day one but i can use the window mode but then cannot stretch it to full screen. any other fixes? |

The main menu is 800x600. Display problems is usually a driver or monitor scaling problem. Check your driver and monitor settings for anything related to display scaling or aspect ratio. Launcher 1.5 has a setting called fullscreen window you can use. That setting makes the game use a standard window for the main menu and a fullscreen window for gameplay. |

i figured this out on my mac pro dual boot windows 7, I had windows zoom to 175% due to the darn Retina being 2580x1800. Once i normalized that to 100% all the menus worked as normal. Now i can play nhl04 with 16x anti alias, 16x anisotropic and triple buffer on at 2580x1800. It looks almost real... |
