Hey team, Great mod, really awesome work by all of you. I'm very impressed. I'm just getting started, but I'm successful with getting the game running on my PC with keyboard controls, and I found the post about getting a controller working (though I haven't tried it, b/c my use case is slightly different). Where I want to go from here is to add the game to Steam, so I can play it over Steam Link. Has anyone tried this yet? Is it possible to launch the game without using the launcher, yet still use the high resolution that the launcher enables (1920x1080x60Hz)? Steam will allow external games to be lauched & streamed (I am running a modded version of Fallout: New Vegas that uses a new executable & other components), but the way the launcher comes up before the game starts would be a problem (I think). Maybe a solution is to write a batch file that calls the launcher or nhl2004.exe with specific parameters (such as resolution, AA settings, etc), and link *that* to Steam? Thanks! wam |

You can try adding QuickLaunch = 1 to launcher ini. This will bypass the launcher GUI and start the game. The launcher modifies NHL 04's code in memory, so it has to be used if you want any of its features. |

So far, I haven't found any fix for the steam controller. It doesn't support d-input and that's the only way I managed to get my controllers working (PS4) One thing I haven't tried is to use it wired. Try that instead of using the usb dongle. |
