I never said the launcher is the only solution.  I said the only permanent non-hacky solution is adding proper xinput support to the game or using a directinput controller, which was in response to OP saying that they've had bad experiences with using software.  :)

Hi Vod! Why after I apply Xinput settings to nhl2004.exe, launcher (v. 1.5.0 B4) is not working (once I click "Launch NHL 2004" laucher is not responding and the game does not start)? Can this be fixed?

Hey markrenton. Any software that uses detours or modifies the game's memory in some way has a good chance of interfering with the launcher. There's really nothing I can do about that. You can try rolling back to Launcher 1.45 since it has less code to interfere with.

Is this already possible with your Launcher?

Yes, but no scripts make use of it yet. I'm working on a script that adds xinput mapping as well as rumble and battery level display.

Sounds great, can we expect it in the final version of Launcher 1.5.0?

It'll be much sooner than that. Within the next couple of beta versions.

I use lots of mods for a lot of different games but this forum always has the biggest surprises :worship:

Like I said, ignore me

If Vod says the only solution is his Launcher (what a coincidence!), then I'm only deluding myself or living in a parallel universe

Under Windows 7 i use Masahiko Morii's drivers but under Windows 10 i use your solution,
works great :good:

I only changed the Z Rot/Z Axis to Z Axis/Z Rot because i think that makes the Right Stick work like a real DirectInput gamepad.

You could just use x padder. I think I may have to for a PS4 controller I expect.

Hi everyone, sorry this is a bit of a necro. I figured it'd be preferable to starting a new thread. I am using a PS4 controller plugged into USB with the 93-94 mod. It looks like the solution reached here involves X Input- from what I can see, that program is strictly for X Box 360 controllers, so I may need a different solution.

When I attempt to use the in game method of re-mapping the controller (options>wireless controller or something like that) it seems to recognize my inputs but there's no option to save changes. I don't know much of anything about modding, so if anyone is willing to talk to me like a child (a caveman would also be acceptable) I would greatly appreciate it.
