So I was playing the dynasty mode (I just got the modded game) and chose the Leafs. Simmed to the end of the year, we missed the playoffs. It let me see the playoff tree, but when I continued the sim, the game stopped working. Anyone know how to fix this? |

You have a double game problem in your schedule file. Only solution so far is to delete those extra games from your schedule. Check the other thread how it will be done: Dynasty playoff round 1 crash (fix) |

Thanks for responding, really appreciate it. So I downloaded the DBedit thing, but I'm still clueless, even after looking at other topics, as to what to do next. I don't mean to sound dumb, but I cant really seem to be able to find my dynasty save. I don't want to mess anything up even more, can you help me a bit here? |

Season saves are always in the ..Documents/NHL 2004/DB/ Dynasty season has a .dyn ending. Open the dbedit and search and open the .dyn file. You'll find the LSCH tab where you can see the games. Go to the end of the list and find the playoff first round games of Toronto. Toronto is a team number 27 NOTE! MON_ column shows the month but the number 9 means Octorber, 10 = November ... 4 = May etc.. so it will be always one less than normally because computer logic starts always from a zero. Same thing with DAY_ column, e.g. 24 means 25 in a real life. Example, if there are a game in the games schedule (menu) in April 25th. In the database the day will be 24 and month 3. Now you can see if there are duplicate games in the schedule. Same home and away team with a same date. Choose the row and press remove the duplicate by pressing the remove record button (X icon). |

Alright, I found the file, opened it, and did what you've said. Found the duplicated dates. Only thing is, when I try to remove the duplicates by selecting the row and pressing the red X, it seems to work, then I come back and the date is still there. I'm gonna try it a couple more times, but is there anything I'm doing wrong? |

I tested and it works in my end. Did you game were open at the same time when you deleted those lines? So, you selected the particular line by pressing the a cell in that line and the pressed the red cross? Then the dbeditor asks "Record #line will be removed. Are you sure?" And you press the "yes" you will still see that in there? Can you check if the number of lines is still the same? I recommend to take a copy of the .dyn file because if something goes wrong you might lose your dynasty season. |

Made a copy of my .dyn and tried it again. When I deleted it, the duplicated line was still in like before, but the record count went down by 1. Did it exactly how you explained it, finding the dates, select a cell, then press x, then yes, but it still isn't working. |

That's weird. Can you still try to simulate the first round of the playoffs? Or does it crash again. |

Doesn't work simming round 1, is there any way I can maybe download a working schedule seeing this isn't working? Didn't play most of it, so if needed, id be willing to restart from the beginning if it will make it work. |

I doesn't work that way becase that file is your season file, not a basic schedule. In the season, the game creates a your season schedule and at first, it copies the basic schedule (regular season schedule). When you're going to a playoffs, the game creates those playoff games. Not before that because you cannot know before the season, which teams are in the playoffs. Only thing is to delete those lines but clearly, it deletes something else. It might delete the last line everytime.

Well, after a long hard search, ive found the bug. I was searching by month, not by record. When I found the date, it was on a different spot as it would regularly be because of the sort, therefore it was deleting a different record. Tried sorting by record, and it seems to work now. Thanks a ton for your time and help though, really appreciate it!
