You can disable player reflections in the next launcher version, but you can't dim them yet. It's something I'm looking into.

About the goalie cover system: I've created a new script with the concept of "heat", which is the percent chance the goalie will cover at any time while in possession of the puck. This is checked every tick. So a heat of 0 = zero chance of covering, a heat of 100 means they are guaranteed to cover at the next tick (frame). The goalie will still automatically cover after a set time (3 seconds by default). Right now heat goes up with every shot, for every second the puck is in the goalie's zone and for every faceoff lost in their zone (a win decreases heat). The heat value is reset to zero when the puck enters the neutral zone. We'll slowly expand on this over time, like factoring in goalie attributes, better situational awareness etc. Goalie pass logic will also have to be modified at some point to better avoid dangerous passes.

Very smart idea this "heat" concept!

Great stuff :good:

For the player reflections it would be good to blur them. Along with shadows

Can you remove goalie's ability to shoot the puck. Now goalies can shoot it like Al MacInnis which is completely unrealistic. Being able to modify that in the game options would be sufficient (Goalie shoot button on/off).

Hi Vod,
is it possible to make compatibility with your launcher and Gameplaycenter?

Sorry, I forgot to respond to your PM. No, I don't plan on specifically supporting other software, but you can do what Gameplaycenter does using a launcher mod in the next version.

Progress update:

After a little motivation from Jed, I've been working on reverse-engineering the roster code and stats tracking. Players.lua now has over 30 functions for viewing and setting player roster attributes and stats. I also added a library that deals with viewing and setting lines. These additions opens the door for roster injection from CSV files and an in-game roster editor. The obvious benefit of an in-game roster editor is you can see the affect of changing each attribute in real-time.

I also made some very interesting discoveries in relation to player attributes while poking around in the roster code. If my understanding of the code is correct, NHL View actually got a thing or two wrong - more on that later. :good:
