Hi guys! I've been playing dynasty mode and casually playing&simming through for about 5 seasons and finally got in to the playoffs. I decided to play all the games manually and all went well when it came to game 4, where I was pumping myself to end the series with a sweep but my pc crashed during the game intro sequence. It's prone to do that very, very rarely but never has happened during NHL2004... Anyways, I rebooted and tried to continue where I left off and happily awaited for the game to start but eventually realising that I'm never going to get to play. Game jammed at the pre-game screen with the key-players etc. music looping and according to task manager everything was responsive. Booted the game and then simmed the first playoff round and proceeded to round two but the issue remains: I can't get into games. I looked up here that there might be a possibility of a double game scheduling happening and downloaded NHL07-06DBEdit program to look for anything sketchy but can't make a break for it where it may be wonky. Couple of weird dates which I deleted in haste for thinking that I found the problem but no. Did the pc crash <expletive> up something? Everything's been working like a charm until now. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Tried starting a new dynasty but it won't let me play, only sim. Exhibition matches and everything else starts up fine. Reinstalling the only option left...? |

Sounds really weird! Sounds like a some kind of corrupted file but.. no idea how and why. <_< Reinstall the some of those rebuilt packages at first. I really hope that it would solve the problem. |

Phew, I got it fixed. I reinstalled the base NHL2004 game completely and rebuilt files just to be safe. Everything's up and running again perfectly. I really do wonder wtf happened, though. I tried first installing the interface, rosters and arenas but no luck. Oh well, now the playoff hockey shall continue! |
