NHL2004.exe has stopped working error

Every time I launch the game (with the launcher.exe) and set my resolution the white box will appear and in the next few seconds the Windows "NHL2004.exe has stopped working" prompt will appear and the troubleshooting prompts will begin. I have reinstalled the game and all of the mods ~5 times at this point and tried many different tricks like running as administrator and compatibility mode stuff but to no avail. My anti-virus is off so it shouldn't be affecting anything. Disabling the intro gives me an infinite white box the first time I start and then back to the same way every time after that. I'm running a 64-bit version of Windows 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!

Have you installed the game to a simple path like C:\NHL 2004 or D:\NHL 2004 or did you install it in another folder like Program Files or such ?

Wow, thats strange. Try changing that to for example D instead of C (if you have two local discs). If not then just make a new folder for example NHL 04 Rebuilt in your C directory and install everything there. First the base game (don't run it after you install the base game), then everything else step by step. If it doesn't work after that, then it must be something about your windows I assume since I have no idea about running on win 10. I have heard that there should be no problems with the game running on that windows but I don't know the details.
