Does NHL 2004 Work On Windows 10?

I have installed NHL 2004 on my PC but it doesn't seem to work. I launch the game whether it be via launcher or exe and the resolution of my monitor changes but the game doesn't actually show up its just my desktop. After about 5-10 seconds it reverts back to my 1080p resolution. I have tried different compatibility modes, I've tried running as admin, I've reinstalled multiple times, basically I've spent all day trying to figure this out but it won't work. Should I just give up and wait for the day EA release a new NHL game on PC?

It works on Windows 10.

Make sure you have updated video drivers?
Where did you install the game?

EA is never going to release a new NHL game on PC.
If I ran away, I'd never have the strength
To go very far
How would they hear the beating of my heart
Will it grow cold
The secret that I hide, will I grow old
How will they hear
When will they learn
How will they know

I fixed it, turns out this game requires a command in the cmd to run the game.

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

That command disables some security thing in Windows that is required to run a lot of older games such as Nascar 2003. I think this command will help many people who can't get the game to work.

Run CMD as admin, and type that in the command prompt, then restart computer and try to launch game again. ~ For those that still can't get game to work try this.

Spread the word if you can :)

And thanks for your help anyways DSgamby!!

vividmort, can you provide a source where you found that?

The command you provided disables Data Execution Prevention (DEP), which is an important security function of Windows.

If that worked, I would re-enable it and do the following:

Control panel -> system -> advanced system settings -> performance (Settings) -> data execution protection -> select "turn on DEP for essential windows programs and services only"
NHL 2004 Launcher | My Changelog | NHL 2004 Preservation | NHL 2004 Debugger
