Just stumbled across this video in a recent NHL 2004 YouTube binge and thought it was interesting. Kinda enjoy the little tug animation when they miss on a low punch, and that the punch audio isn't as exaggerated, but obviously what they went with in the final product was still great and ultimately lasted six years on PC/PS2/XBox.

Since I'm a knob when it comes to the in-game files (I typically just jack jersey.vivs from here to use in my game and toy with NHLView a bit), does anyone know if it's possible to get that stamina bar up top in the finished product of NHL 2004? Not that I need it, just find it interesting. Would also love to see how it's calculated for goalie fights, cause it seems almost impossible for one fighter to 'win' a goalie fight

I'm assuming that those animations weren't included anywhere in the final product's game files, but either way I found this neat.

Hmm...I agree it looks cool, but I don't think it's possible, at least for now. See, FOX Trax for shot speed was created out of nowhere. So there's a hope we might see this in the future, if it's reasonable to do. Vod might be more adequate to answer that.

You might want to know too that there are some small differences between the NHL 2004 for PC and the console versions.

Regards,

Franco

It can be done with a launcher script after finding the stamina memory addresses.
