Okay, so as I was saying, Launcher 1.5 doesn't work for me (and for Nick too). It doesn't have any effect, no log is created, although I can start the game normally with it. But it's like starting it with the regular nhl2004.exe. I thought it was an Antivirus problem, so I disabled everything, Windows Firewall, everything. Nothing. However, Launcher 1.4 works fine. I can FOV nicely with it, take screenshots, which means Antivirus is NOT blocking injection of launcher.dll. I checked again with Launcher 1.5, Antivirus is NOT removing fasm.dll neither lua53.dll. It's a bummer because it worked fine with my previous computer. I could work on all LED rings nicely and I am pretty excited with the new work from Jedeash. Let's see if we can solve this one. Does Windows event log say anything after crashing?
Not necessarily. Heuristics scan can block one version of launcher.dll and not the other. Launcher 1.5 is far more complicated and has more code that looks like malware due to the way it takes over the process. |

No, it doesn't crash to me. It did when I tried Full Screen, it works on Windowed mode but no .dll injections at all. Hmm...so if that's the case I'm clueless back again. I'm going to try to see Windows Event Log after a crash in Full Screen. EDIT: No, no crashes. Even in Full Screen. It just doesn't inject any .dll. It's like launching game from regular nhl2004.exe. The only scenario I know of where the game will start without launcher.dll being injected is if security software blocks it. |

No luck. Disabled Bitdefender Antivirus, Windows Defender Antivirus, Windows Firewall, installed everything again from scratch. Just to be sure, I created a rule both on AV and on Firewall to bypass all NHL 2004 folders. Launcher 1.5 still has no effect at all. Although Create Launcher Log File is on, no log is created at all. In game, + and - don't control FOV. Huge delay on screenshot taken with Print Screen and screenshot comes as a .TGA file. I have to stick by the conclusion that something is still silently blocking it. The actual injection code in Launcher.exe hasn't changed much from launcher 1.45. |

I'm almost sure that's the problem too, Vod. But it's really weird that even disabling everything nothing happens. I didn't want to uninstall my AV and end up discovering that it had nothing to do with it, in case it still doesn't work. But hey, not much is left right, what else could be the problem? @RazRusty2017: I don't know, man. For the majority of the people here it works fine. I think this is a bigger issue. We had four computers during our last season playoffs and two of the computers did exactly this. Now, I fresh installed everything for my computer and the same thing happens. I can start the game with Launcher, but everything in the game is controlled by normal nhl2004.exe settings. Screen resolution, ditties, ect. And there's no log from Launcher. I turned off my Windows firewall and I as a fresh Windows install didn't have any other antivirus software installed. Launcher 1.45 works without problems, sets the right resolution. |

Thanks for the feedback. The next version handles things a little differently, has better logging and more compatibility workarounds. So hopefully it will fix your problem. |

Any news about the next version, when it will be out? We still can't use Launcher 1.5 because it just won't start on most of our computers. Starting to build our next season game pack so wondering if there will be a newer version than 1.45 we could use for our league. |

Launcher 2.0 is in the works and has been released as a closed alpha. The goal is to have a public release before the end of the summer. |
