Early 20th Century seasons question

When playing with the mods of early 20th century teams, the lines get so fatigued so quickly. Is it because the lines are all the same? By the time I get halfway through a 6 minute period, everyone is completely depleted. Would it be better to just turn line changes off? When did teams start using lines? Anyone know?

You can use manual line changes and just tap button "1" to get them change on the fly.

I've played a lot of v2 and never had this kind of issue.

What do you mean by saying "Is it because the lines are all the same"? and "When did teams start using lines?" I don't understand these questions.

What I meant was, when did teams start actually using the concept of 4 scoring lines with different players on each?
My question about the lines being all the same: I noticed that certain lines got fatigued at the EXACT same time, leading me to believe players were duplicated across more than one line. I was wrong. :)

All of this was just because I was noticing players getting way too tired, like down to zero energy, and coming back from a line change still at zero. So by about 7 minutes in to the game, all the lines were red and at 0. It seems fine now, just needed to do some tweaking to sliders. But that is why I thought, maybe out of a lack of created players that it would be possible that these old teams just had one line repeated 4 times. Do you see what I was thinking?

Anyway, seems fine. :good:

Some top D-men play in two lines. And might be the "extra players". That's the only thing I can think of.

And like I said, I've played many full seasons of V2 and never had this issue. 4th line usually gets just about 5 minutes of ice time. But that's how it often was in real NHL too (in that era).

Enforcers like Worrell, Twist and Grimson sometimes got only 2-3 minutes total. Sometimes even less. :D

Wow, ok cool. My hockey knowledge of that era is not nearly as good as my baseball knowledge. Fascinating. I love these mods. Especially now that I've got them playing the way I want.

Have you ever played a 17-18 season? How is it set up? I imagine the split season that year isn't something that can be recreated.

Waitwaitwait... you guys are probably talking about two different things. tinpanalley means seasons like 1917-18, right? From the vintage mods. While trent means seasons from the V2 mod, like 1997-98... right? :D
Montreal Canadiens 2016-17
Minnesota Wild 2011-12

Sorry, my bad. I've confused "Vintage... BUILD 2" with "V2". Yes, but onyl because there is nothing called "V2". Well, except for "Project NHL04 V2" but that's something else.
But now I'm confused, didn't I say in my first post and in the subject, "early 20th century teams?
